Cleaner / Caretaker

DEMAT and the Riverside Federation are looking to appoint a Caretaker/Cleaner to Hilgay Riverside Academy. 

Caretaker/Cleaner

Payscale: Salary Scale C point 13 pro rata

20 hours per week – term time + 4 (Permanent)

Required January 2019

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person who is a strong team player and enjoys working with both children and adults.

You need to be responsible, flexible and reliable. Above all, we are looking for someone who will take a pride in the school and its appearance.

Duties will include:

  • Being responsible for keeping the school and grounds clean and tidy
  • Unlocking and locking the school premises at the beginning and end of the school day
  • General security
  • Ensuring heating, plumbing and lighting are fully operational
  • General light maintenance and porterage
  • Cleaning the school on a daily basis (no other cleaner employed)
