Hilgay year groups and classes
There are several goals for school families: strengthening relationships with pupils of various ages and backgrounds; building a sense of community by better connecting children to each other and to school; and providing the opportunity for our older pupils to develop valuable leadership skills and responsibilities.
We will plan opportunities to develop relationships within our school families through games and other activities. We look forward to “family” building activities during the year!
On joining the school, every child is put into one of our school families:
- Bury Cathedral
- Ely Cathedral
- Lincoln Cathedral
- Norwich Cathedral
- Peterborough Cathedral
The families strive to earn the highest number of family points every week and every term. The children can earn points for good work, thoughtful behaviour and kind acts.
The winning family win the Family Trophy presented to them in Achievement Assembly.
'Let us encourage one another' Hebrews 10:25
We are a mixed class of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
We have 26 children in our class.
Mrs DiGiulio and Miss Hurley are our co-teachers. We have both teachers each morning! Mrs Reynolds and Miss Jackson support our learning.
We are the Tawny Owls, and we have a mixed class of Year 3 and 4 children.
We are a class of 15 children. Our teacher is Mrs Molnar .
Tawny Owls spent a lot of time talking about needs and wants, rights and responsibilities, and we also explored the democratic ways of decision making. This has helped us understand the meaning of our school vision, the aim of our golden rules and the importance of the classroom rules. We are now ready to aim high and take on the challenges and opportunities this school year brings.
We are a class of Year 5 and 6 children.
We have a total of 13 children in the class and we are taught by Mrs Burniston.
Mrs Ford and Mrs Cojucaru support our learning.
