The children from Acorn class at Ten Mile hopped on a coach and came over to Hilgay for a day of everything Chinese.  They made Chinese hats, learnt about the year of the Rat, opened Fortune Cookies and had a great day of learning. Meanwhile,  Tawny Owls and Barn Owls from Hilgay were having a science based day.  They built catapults, projecting mini marshmallows across the hall, made small wells and how a bicycle works.
